Bass Pro Shops In-Sight Auto Inflatable Life Vest
I purchased this flotation vest for my son. He is an Avid fisherman and has just purchased a kyak. He refused to wear a floresant orange flotation vest because it is too bulky. I researched and I found that this vest is exactly what he needed. He loves it and wears it while fishing on the kyak. I'm happy and he is safe.

It does work!
This thing does work.
I had the unfortunate experience to be pulled overboard after loosing balance stepping off a casting platform, while working a really big snook night fishing. The thing inflated instantly and I was able to grab the side of my boat and work my way to the stern, unfold the swim ladder and get back in, albeit terribly embarrassed.
I was very careful when installing the CO2 cartridge and did find it easy although one needs to be careful to get it correct.
I always wear the pfd on my 19 bay boat and found it fairly comfortable. My complaints are the there are no pockets or clips to easily attach a whistle and/or safety light nor is there any reflective tape on the unit. Had I not got back to the surface instantly, at night in a strong current, things might have gotten very interesting. I had a whistle on the pfd but it would have been difficult getting to quickly. I just installed a light and am shopping for an epirb/plb for night use.
I am now looking for a pfd with the missing features and will probably save this, recharged, for day use.
I gave 4 stars in stead of 5 because of the missing features. If you want an inflatable for day use this might be a good choice. For night use, you might want to shop further.
Obviously, I am changing the way I do things.
Hope this helps.

inflation while sitting in the seat of boat
Bought this life jacket for Christmas this year and about a week ago had the life jacket sitting in the bench seat of the boat and as I was fishing. the only thing i can think that would cause this would be the heat from it sitting in the sun. And to keep refilling this jacket is not cheap. So you might consider a different jacket.

This PFD is very comfortable. I forget that I have it on even in the heat of the day. It looks very nice as well. The webbing in the back doesn't tangle or slide to one side like another model I had in the past.
I recommend this to anyone who wants a PFD to wear all day long.
I am 6'4", 245 lbs, and it fits me very well.
If you are 300+ lbs, it will be a tight fit if you do get it on. A friend of mine is a BIG guy, and it was a little too tight of a fit for his comfort.
