Rated 5 out of 5 by plmsr Good purchase This was my first inflatable life jacket after bass fishing for 30+ years. Had to try one when BPS knocked $30 off. Used it for past 2 tournaments and it's really comfortable & light. Going to be great for the warmer months. Easy to follow instructions for arming. May 29, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by FishOn2 Looks well made Athough I have only been able to use the PFD oncde so far, it was very easy to install the CO2 air valve. The vest is light weight and does not interfere with casting or fishing. April 15, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by AFGunner Good vest ...Good Price I bought this vest to replace an old-school fishing life vest. Arming the vest was simple as long as you take the time to read all of the directions before you start. You must hold the manual activation arm or it will puncture the cartridge as you screw it in. The vest is extremely light and doesn't get in the way. I can wear it all day fishing. April 11, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Ringkitty Extender will not work with this jacket The Mustang extender will not fit this jacket. I will have to return the jacket. Also went on sale the day after I ordered mine, what a bummer. March 7, 2013

Details:I fish a bunch of tournaments, some are rainy days. Will the best automatically inflate? If so, how hard does it have to rain for it to go off

A:You have to actually be in the water for it to activate. The outer part of the vest will keep the device dry in rain so it won't activate. I have already been in a pouring rain so heavy that we had to run the bilge pump and the vest didn't go off.
