I used this up in northern Wisconsin this winter, let me tell you it was -23 in the morning, we had 28" of ice. This auger cut through the ice in no time. Yes, I wasn't happy after the 5th whole, but it really worked great. I would recommend this product if you need a low cost ice auger that works great.

Bought the 8" auger mainly based on price as it was the cheapest in the store. The problem I have is it leaves a lip of ice all the way around the bottom of the hole. Im not sure why it does it but it creates more work trying to get a clean hole.

I don't think so, however they are very similar to other brands and I think they could fit with a little modification.A:Â
