I was not sure if it would work well for the price but I am happy with it. Took it out a couple times and had no problems. I used 5lbs and 10lbs weights to test it and it was right on. For now I am a satisfied customer.

I recently purchased the grip master and it's great, I just wish had gotton one earlier. It easily holds the fish in place while you remove the hook, it especially is good when using a crank bait with all the extra hooks. In a cloudy or very shady area it is a little tough to see the weight lines, but it was still a great buy and I caught it on sale.

I just measured it at almost12 inches total length - and that's the minimum space you will need available to fit it in your tackle-box.A:Â

is the scale extremely accurate?is there enough space between the pound numbers to judge half and quarter pounds?
Answers
A:Â
no it's not that exactA:Â
From my experience, this scale is accurate to the pound. You can tell a 5 pounder from a 6 pounder, but not much beyond that.A:Â
not really but you can certainly guesstimateTop 500 Contributor
A:Â
The scale is indeed accurate as I tested it by weighing my Olympic weight plates. However you will have to be content rounding off to the nearest pound as the markings are few and hard to read.A:Â
yes. for every day use it is great. for tournement fishing probably not.Answers

It weighs about a pound, maybe a pound and a half.Top 500 Contributor

I would estimate around a pound - light enough to carry in your tackle box.A:Â

is the scale digitalAnswers
A:Â
This scale is not digital, it's a spring style scale with a sliding indicator that moves up and down the scale with weight.A:Â
no, the digital costs more, this is on the handle and fairly easy to read.A:Â
no.Details:Â
I see most of the complaints about this item relate to the scale's inaccuracy. Is there a way to calibrate this scale? Thanks in advance.
Answers
A:Â
No. They calibrate it at the factory during construction, but it cannot be re-calibrated by the consumer.A:Â
I don't think so, but unless you are needing to be really precise, it seems close enough for me.A:Â
not that i can seeTop 250 Contributor

The scale looks like it is factory set and has no adjustment.Top 250 Contributor
A:Â
No there is no adjustment to tune the scale. I weighed packages of meat that had there weight on the label. The scale was roughly what the labels said. You can't really complain with a mechanical scale. Just purchase the digital one from Berkley it will cost more.1 of 1
