Rated 5 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by great rod just a great product for the price. this rod is not only durable but it is also quite sensitive. it's forgiving, but has the backbone to make solid hook sets. a perfect balance of power and finesse for the money. I paired mine up with a basspro tourney special reel to make an affordable baitcasting combo that performs well. January 19, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Worked Great for Huge Black Drum Caught six huge black drum (plus reds, specks, & flounder) on the Texas gulf coast with the BPS Graphite Series 6' MH. Largest was 35 lbs., and took 15 minutes to fight in. The rest were 25-30 lbs. The rod performed perfectly, with strength to spare. Best rod in the world for the price. December 31, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by great product these are the only rods i use. i have 5 baitcasters and i fish tournaments, and not only are they durable, they are consistent with their actions. November 28, 2012

What does line weight mean?

Details:
If i choose a type that has a Line Weight of 10-20 lbs. Will the rod break if I choose to use a 30 lbs line?

A:
no, it just means that the rod is meant to be used in situations where that type of line is required. unless you are focusing on an ultra lite approach, I would pick a heavier rod for those larger species that you might be after with such heavy 30 lb line.

What's New?

Details:
What exactly is new on the 2012 series. From reading the specs and from what I can see in the pictures it's unchanged other than the graphics.
