Bass Pro Shops Graphite Series Trigger Rod
Was better a couple years ago
I bought the 6'6" Medium Heavy trigger rod. I would recommend the Medium Heavy for the increased lure weight capability. After 2 years the rod has stood up very well and pulls 0.6oz - 0.9oz lures really nice. Good backbone. The drawback, a couple years ago they made these with a "powerhump" grip that felt very nice in the hand, and the line guides were much better. The new one is a downgrade from what they use to be.

I have always had cheaper BPS rods for the boys as they grew up and for myself, for river fishing. I used another brand of graphite rods for myself, and for lake fishing.. The quality has declined a great deal on my other brand, so I went shopping for a good value graphite rod. I settled on this rod last year, and purchased four casting rods when they were on sale. Just this week, I purchased another. The quality is excellent, along with very good line quides. I also like the good quality cork handles, that has a separate reel tightening feature, from the handle. This is a very good value rod at this price point.

Gotta Get Another
I bought one of these a few years back and ended up replacing it due to it getting damaged in a move. After, fishing with my new (Other Brand) replacement, I gotta say I am heading back to BP to get a new 6'6” C Handle IM6 rod for plastic worms. Can't fish without it again. This is one of the best rods I have ever owned for any price.

Can't Beat the Price
Let me start by saying that for the price, this rod is great. I have definitely paid more for worse rods. That being said, I have also paid more for better rods. I use this primarily as a back up and the handful of times that I have used it I have enjoyed it. The construction is sound, it's fairly sensitive, and I can catch fish on it, which in the end is the whole point. I personally prefer the bionic blade and would suggest buying it if you have the extra cash. However, this is a good rod which will save you a few bucks to spend on extra tackle.
