by EStrong Good Quality Basic Rod for the Cost
I have 4 of these, 6ft MH Fast Action. I use these for Bass fishing and whatever decides to hit my lines that day. Never had any issues with tips or guides breaking or falling out, I've had 3 of these since 2008 and 1 brand new this Spring. I use all kinds of lures from small lightweight jigs to heavy crankbaits and line weights from 6 to 12 pounds. These are a little heavy compared to the more expensive rods out there but the sensitivity and flex is just fine. For $40 these can't be beat. I don't beat up my rods or equipment so I can't comment on what I call "reckless durability" and being able to standup to abuse and being tossed around. As far as fishing performance, these work fine. These go on sale for $30 every so often so keep an eye out.

I bought two of these for my grandchildren ages 8 and 11. They beat the heck out of them for two weeks during a fishing trip. They still performed great!

Made the mistake of getting the 5'6" Light action. Within a few trips the guides for the eyelets fall out. My dad bought the same rod, same problem. Take your money somewhere else, these are low quality rods that fall apart quickly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by nmdiver A good, basic rod
There's nothing fancy about this rod. I bought the 6-foot version quite a while ago, but have only used it a few times. It handles well, gives good casting distance, and is relatively sensitive. My only complaint is that it doesn't have a hook keeper.
