Bass Pro Shops Graphite Series Spinning Rod
Good Quality Basic Rod for the Cost
I have 4 of these, 6ft MH Fast Action. I use these for Bass fishing and whatever decides to hit my lines that day. Never had any issues with tips or guides breaking or falling out, I've had 3 of these since 2008 and 1 brand new this Spring. I use all kinds of lures from small lightweight jigs to heavy crankbaits and line weights from 6 to 12 pounds. These are a little heavy compared to the more expensive rods out there but the sensitivity and flex is just fine. For $40 these can't be beat. I don't beat up my rods or equipment so I can't comment on what I call "reckless durability" and being able to standup to abuse and being tossed around. As far as fishing performance, these work fine. These go on sale for $30 every so often so keep an eye out.

2 Broken Rods
I bought the combo of this Graphite Series spinning rod with a Pfleuger reel 2 years ago, medium action. On the positive side, I like the feel, but I think most of that credit goes to the smooth reel. The rod broke a month after I bought it. Bass Pro replaced it (after I drove the 90 mile round-trip back to the store). Today, the rod broke again when setting the hook on a 4.5# bass on a topwater. It's not worth the drive to replace it again. I will go buy something else.

I own 4 of these for now, that number is about to increase. I bought my first one 12 years ago, and I haven't found a rod thats even close for twice the money. Sensative, comfortable, light, great guides. I use all mine with copolymer lines and occationally a floro. These rods are top quality.
