Bass Pro Shops Gold Series Folding Landing Net with Telescoping Handle
I used the fishing net a week ago worked really nice. Got four fish and one was 19". The only thing is the sliding handle does not slide out real easy. But i would still recommend it. i do like how it folds up and you can store it really easy.

I finally found the folding net that works. It opens easily and locks in place with the flick of a wrist.

not tangle-free at all
I bought this to replace a Bass Pro Shops economy landing net for fishing out of my kayak. I was fed up with treble hooks getting caught in the string netting, so thought I would give this product a try. What a mistake. I have landed three trout with this net. Every time the lure (Rapala minnows) got badly caught up in the net. One time the treble hook was so badly tangled that I was only able to extract it by breaking one of the links in the net. As another reviewer has already suggested, it seems like this problem would be much reduced if the mesh had larger holes. This net is not tangle-free. In my hands, it is more prone to severe tangles than the economy landing nets available from Bass Pro Shops.

Too many moving parts
I received this net as a Christmas gift and was looking forward to the space saving features. The first problem was the telescoping handle did not work. I visited the nearest Bass Pro store to exchange the net, and the net at the store had a similar problem with the telescoping handle, and the folding net arms were bent so the net would not fully open. I compared all the nets on display and bought a Frabill net with a telescoping handle that slides into the net for storage. It was a little more expensive, but a lot more sturdy. The folding net with a telescoping handle seemed like a good idea, but if it breaks on display or is shipped broken I do not think it would be reliable over the long haul in a boat.
