Broke at Handle Fishing in the river caught a pike 8 or so pounds when i lifted him out of the water the net broke under the locking mechinism and fell into the water only had piece of handle left over lost net upper half and the fish dont purchase if you like to catch big fish ! August 7, 2011
Excellent I have purchased many fishing nets in my 50+years of fishing. This product is a winner. It is very light for all the features it incorporates. The net material does not tangle in the lure hooks. The telescoping hand works well. Very reasonably priced. October 11, 2010
Good value this purchase for my husband for his birthday. It was for him to use while striper fishing on the Hudson river. The net arrived a little too late for the season. Not to worry, it will go onto our boat, and used on other fishing excursions. June 5, 2013
not for big fish This net is OK for smaller fish, but if you latch on to something larger, you will want something else. The handle bent in half when netting. I wouldn't recommend it for anything over 10#'s. July 5, 2010

you might be able to catch a few bait fish but the holes are just big enough so that most smaller shad might get through but you could probably catch larger shad

you could drill holes every 6 inches or so and get a pin with a wire that locks around for easy removal and placement. make sure to drill holes through both poles in the same spot. thats what i would do
