We believe strongly in catch-and-release fishing. That's why our Bass Pro Shops® Gold Series net features rubber dipped polyester, small-loop conservation netting in a shallow, flat-bottom design that keeps fish unharmed and supported safely while you remove the hook. Equipped with an anodized-aluminum handle for the perfect balance of strength and minimal weight. Net depth: 18''. Telescoping handle: 34"-67".
Bass Pro Shops® Gold Series 34''-67'' Telescoping Handle Landing Nets
This is the first net I ever bought. It's bigger than I thought and the telescoping handle is great. The first fish I landed was a 3 lbs 15 oz Large Mouth Bass. I really like the rubber coated netting. It performs like the big heavy rubber nets but it's lighter and more flexable. I plan on using this net for salmon fishing this fall. Can't wait!! The only draw back is the way the net attaches to the handle, just a small push button.

Good Net / Good Value
Net is just what my fresh water fish needed to get released unharmed, but if I had to offer 1 bit of advice: I would recommend a set screw be installed in the handle as the current locking pin leaves a bit to be desired as far my trusting it goes. If the current pin securing the net to the handle lets go, so goes your net and the fish that was in it. Took me all of 5 minutes to install a nut and bolt lock and looks like it was custom and now is less likely to release at the wrong time.

Used the net for the first time last weekend and we landed several northerns over 30" and some walleyes over 20". It worked great every time, even with a rookie on the net. The large opening made getting even the biggest, liveliest northerns into the net no problem. The net is deep enough to hold anything we encounter.
We had no tangled lures despite multiple treble hooks.

not for big fish
This net is OK for smaller fish, but if you latch on to something larger, you will want something else. The handle bent in half when netting. I wouldn't recommend it for anything over 10#'s.
