We believe strongly in catch-and-release fishing. That's why our Gold Series net features rubber dipped polyester, small-loop conservation netting in a shallow, flat-bottom design that keeps fish unharmed and supported safely while you remove the hook. Equipped with an anodized-aluminum handle for the perfect balance of strength and minimal weight. Net depth: 18''.  Telescoping handle: 34"-67".

Rated 5 out of 5 by strong I was surprised by how much backbone this net has, i didnt thing that for the price it would be very strong. I have not had any problems with the net coming apart but i looked through all of the nets when i bought it and picked the one that didnt have frays all over it.. easy to take apart and doesnt take up much room! fantastic net! Rated 5 out of 5 by Gold Series Net I got this for landing bass on my boat. With the telescoping handle, means no more bending down. More bass in the boat and less misses. December 20, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Poor Quality Net This is the 2nd one of these nets I had bought. You'd think I'd learn the first time, but I liked the net and thought maybe I had a bad apple. Nope the net is made poorly with soft metal handle. Both of my nets came apart at the handle locking mechanism....as reported both others. I will not buy another one of these. October 15, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fish friendly net Good quality netting seems to be better on the fish than the old tied nylon. The telescoping handle makes catching a little easier. Handle might be weak if you fully extended to the very end, but everyone should know to leave a little inside to maximize strength. I see this net lasting a long time. June 22, 2012

you might be able to catch a few bait fish but the holes are just big enough so that most smaller shad might get through but you could probably catch larger shad

you could drill holes every 6 inches or so and get a pin with a wire that locks around for easy removal and placement. make sure to drill holes through both poles in the same spot. thats what i would do
