We believe strongly in catch-and-release fishing. That's why our Gold Series net features rubber dipped polyester, small-loop conservation netting in a shallow, flat-bottom design that keeps fish unharmed and supported safely while you remove the hook. Equipped with an anodized-aluminum handle for the perfect balance of strength and minimal weight. Net depth: 18''.  Telescoping handle: 34"-67".

good but could be better I fell this net in design is excellent, extension works great, great for releasing fish or just landing them, the only draw back i had was I needed to replace the screws where the handle attaches to the net hoop as they fell out on my first outing, other wise would have giving it five stars. not what I thought I purchased these for "frog catching" in our pond for your grandchildren They were too big and awkward for what we needed. This tho was probably my fault as I should have realized what I was purchasing from the description, I ordered 3 and only kept 1 as the one of the others did not work right. The extension handle would not stay in place to tighten. It was faulty. June 26, 2013
Great net Great net the telescoping handle is great for the boat or on land. Highly recommend this product June 20, 2013
Good value this purchase for my husband for his birthday. It was for him to use while striper fishing on the Hudson river. The net arrived a little too late for the season. Not to worry, it will go onto our boat, and used on other fishing excursions. June 5, 2013

you might be able to catch a few bait fish but the holes are just big enough so that most smaller shad might get through but you could probably catch larger shad

you could drill holes every 6 inches or so and get a pin with a wire that locks around for easy removal and placement. make sure to drill holes through both poles in the same spot. thats what i would do
