We believe strongly in catch-and-release fishing. That's why our Gold Series net features rubber dipped polyester, small-loop conservation netting in a shallow, flat-bottom design that keeps fish unharmed and supported safely while you remove the hook. Equipped with an anodized-aluminum handle for the perfect balance of strength and minimal weight. Net depth: 18''.  Telescoping handle: 34"-67".

Best deal out there Love the hole size/shape/and net thickness. For those who don't like heavy rubber netting, this is the cure. No more stuck hooks. You may have to eventually replace the cheap screws where the handle attaches, but so what? This net, with the extendable handle is the best buy in the industry . Hands down. October 30, 2014
Effective Net I used this net to replace a previous BPS net that snapped off where the net met the handle. This seems to be a good design although I am very disappointed in the screws that hold the net hoop to the handle. I use this in saltwater and the screws are flat head black painted steel. I'll replace them with SS which is what should have been provided by the manufacturer in the first place. How much more could 4 SS screws cost? September 12, 2014
Good quality product This expandable fishing net is very sturdy and is made with quality materials. Very pleased with it. September 2, 2014
Super product I was in a need for a good boat net, This is far better than expected. We have used it on pike, trout as well as bass... August 1, 2014

you might be able to catch a few bait fish but the holes are just big enough so that most smaller shad might get through but you could probably catch larger shad

you could drill holes every 6 inches or so and get a pin with a wire that locks around for easy removal and placement. make sure to drill holes through both poles in the same spot. thats what i would do
