Spearing smelt on the ice! I use these to spear smelts through the ice! It works great for that application! Where I'm from spearing smelts is a tradition that goes back many decades! I used a lot of home stuff, but nothing really holds up for to long! Because of the salt water and getting stuck on the bottom every once in while! These last quite a while and they work well! Super strong These spear heads are top grade. No junk here. Not only smoking a frog with ease. We even had to use them a few times as push poles. And didn't even roll the points down. Will buy again. IF I EVER BREAK THESE. July 1, 2014
4 prong frog gig Ordered 3 of these (4 prong frog gigs) 2 of the 3 broke in the first night. The heads are SMALL and the mounting location is too small to fit a broom handle in so you have to widen them, causing the prongs to get loose and break. Not happy at all! May 21, 2012
Glad to find one of these We get a bunch of carp for a few weeks a year at our local lakes. Love shooting them with my bow . But I saw these while picking up fishing stuff . Works well and its fun . I dont know where I could even buy these but at Bass Pro . May 24, 2010
