Pretty good spear over all. I must say that for the cost this is a very good spear. In my experience frog gigging I like a 3 prong spear but the prongs bent easily. I was able to straighten it out when it happened easily, but I'm not sure the full effect of the bending. Granted the spear takes abuse. I caught 28 last weekend with it. I have yet to have to sharpen it. but I have used it 4 times and caught about 75 frogs with it and still holding up pretty well. For the price I would still buy 3 or 4 and just replace them when you need to. I'm going to get a heavy duty spear when i can find one that doesn't cost $20. But until that time I'll keep using this one because you can't beat the price for the quality. June 17, 2009
Great Spears I don't use these spears for frogs or fish; I use them to catch moles in my lawn and they work fine. The only comment I have is the barbs would be better if they were larger. December 14, 2010
Large Fish Spear I am not fishing. Using this to spear moles in the yard. Ha Ha. Got two, but one keeps escaping. Works better than a shovel. June 14, 2010
Best fish spear These spears work great!!! I have already used them to take a lot of carp. June 8, 2012
