Bass Pro Shops Folding Ruler
I've been using these rulers for about 8 years. I river fish out of a kayak 99% of the time. I have a sit in kayak and room is at a premium. This slides nicely on one side of my seat. Handy when I capture a worthy specimen.
Works nicely, easy to use and refold and stow.
My only complaint is that I wish I could get the exact same thing in metal, as I buy these a few at a time so that if one breaks I have another to throw into the yak.
They will typically fail the end piece that flips up to butt the fish against. Otherwise I'd put this at 5 stars. This is the week spot and will eventually break with use. The main hinge has never failed on me.
At $5 a piece not too bad but it would be nice if there was an all metal option.

good in a pinch
I purchased this ruler only because the golden rule was out of stock in both sizes and I had a tournament coming up. It is a awkward to use when holding a fish and trying to keep the folding end standing up. If it had something to lock it in the up position it would work significantly better. However it did work in a pinch. I would recommend the solid metal rulers such as the golden rule.

Enough of the rusty Deliar!
This is the 2nd one Ive purchased. First one worked so good a friend stole it. It is inexpensive and works great. We had it sitting out on the ice Saturday so we could check to see how big the trout were. Dont need to take gloves off, it wont rust and it folds up and fits in my tackle bag. What a steal! I threw my scuzzy, unreadable Deliar in the trash!

For the money (66% less) than other rulers its a good product and a good buy. The tired, wore out, bass I catch aint gonna hurt this ruler buy laying them across it to get a measurement. But, if one does break it then it will be a wall mount. If operated correctly and not used like it was metal it will last for awhile. Lets face it - ITS PLASTIC.
