I purchased the jig head in 1/16 oz. to fish for smallmouth with live minnows in the winter on East Tn. Lakes. And they are awesome when you set the hook the penetration is great loose very few fish when hooked. Love this product.

So far so good...
Bought a pack of black 1/16 oz hooks and tried one out for the first time today on a short trip. Cast off a local dock as I was unable to get out in my boat today.
3rd cast and BAM! Chain pickerel hit it hard. Fish was about 24" and between 2-3 lbs.
Reeled it in easily on my Stradic 1000fi / 6'3" Compre setup with 10lb yellow PowerPro and a 5' leader of 8lb mist green P-Line Floroclear.
Pleased with the result so far. Look forward to trying in my favorite spots for bass, only accessible by boat.
Was using a 5" Creme Scoundrel "live" color worm when the pickerel hit. Also tried a flickin' shimmy but no luck on it - had great action, though.

Good product, mfg needs tweaking
These flick shimmy heads work great they have a qualtiy hook, reel sets are all that are needed. The only downfall I have found is something in the manufacturing process. In the 3/16 and 1/8 oz size there is a hard plastic coating in the eyelet of the hook. This is not easily removed by another hook or jig buster, I spent hours cleaning out the eyes with a needle. This needs to be corrected as tying your knot when fishing big waves is hard enough without fighting jig eyelets. Overall I reccomend the product but, take the time, ahead of time, to clear the eyes.
