The inline weight is back! Simply add in front of spinner rigs, crawler harnesses or live-bait rigs to achieve greater depth and to keep your rig tracking true. Helps reduce tangles when running multiple lines with boards or directional divers. Hologram baitfish colors add extra attraction; double-eye inline design for easy rigging.
Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 9 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by BPS Keel Weights I use the 1/2oz 1oz & 2oz BPS keel weight to attain different depths in the water column while trolling spinners until I find the depth the fish are bitting at and then replace all with that weight. The snap swivel on the rear of the BPS keel weight acts as a buffer between the spinner and the main line to reduce line twist. Also has less drag than divers when fighting fish. All-in-all a great product that is easy to use! July 11, 2006

Works better with floating baits, Also speed will be a factor, so slow down until you can feel the bottom or add weight.

Details:
It would be great if they were stamped with their weight. I know the size I need for the depth. But when I reach into my box and pull out two of them - did I just pull out a 1 oz and 2 oz or 2 oz and 3 oz. If they won't mark them with weight, knowing the length is the only other way I can think of to distinguish the weight size

Each weight has a number on the top shaft. 1for 1ounce or 1.5 for 1 1/2 ounce. Don't remove the plastic marker.

I would NOT use these as an added weight for light casting lures. They will lead on the acst andcause atagled mess with the lighter lure.

A:
I make a leader out of monofilament or florocarbon about 4-5 feet long. I run a braid mainline (30lb test) and the leader is 12lb. The ball bearing swivel really works great to eliminate line twists when pulling a spoon.
