these are not something i have to use every trip but it is a must have for those big pike and muskie that swallow the lure! it drastically reduces the amount of time it takes to remove a hook deep in their mouth, reducing over all time out of the water! If you practice catch and release, this is a must have tool. Spend the 4 dollars.

These items were just exactly what I needed. I don't use them for the intended purpose. They make great holders for metal bottles over fires.
