The Bass Pro Shops Fish Mouth Spreader is a great way of keeping a fish's mouth open as you extract a deeply set hook. Constructed from steel wire for strength and durability, our Mouth Spreader is especially useful when retrieving hooks from toothy fish. A great accessory to have in your boat or tackle box!

best present for future in-law grdau. got jaw spreeders for grandsons future wife because she usually catches the most pike and walleye and she has to unhook them herself. January 15, 2015
simple tool these are not something i have to use every trip but it is a must have for those big pike and muskie that swallow the lure! it drastically reduces the amount of time it takes to remove a hook deep in their mouth, reducing over all time out of the water! If you practice catch and release, this is a must have tool. Spend the 4 dollars. February 28, 2013
Do not recommend I bought these spreaders mainly for northern pike fishing and it took two guys to remove the hook because these spreaders are JUNK. They are not strong enough to hold the mouth of the fish open so one guy had to spread the spreaders and hold the fish while the other guy removed the hook. June 14, 2010
Awesome!!! I've been fishing for 45 years and always struggled removing hooks from deep inside the mouth of a fish. This tool is amazing and I wish I'd have found it decades ago. By the way, I heard of it when it was recommended as "must have" tackle by Walleye Fishing Pro Mark Martin. July 22, 2010
