This Bass Pro Shops® Fish Hook Disgorger is a must for removing hooks from fish with teeth or deeply-hooked fish. Ends are different diameters to let it work for panfish, trout, bass and large game fish. 7''.
I've tried several types/sizes/costs etc. This works the best for me.The line must be in the extractor groove. Keep the line taught. Use the smallest end appropriate for your catch. SLIGHTLY push the extractor further past where the hook is imbeded. The hook will catch on the extractor. KEEP THE LINE TIGHT WHILE BACKING THE EXTRACTOR OUT.

Well worth the money
These things work great! Just guide it down the line, push, and presto, the fish falls off.

This is a very handy tool. I do a lot of night fishing under the lights for crappie and in doing so also catch a lot of catfish and stripe. This tool has saved injury to many fish and a lot of time lost in cutting line and re-hooking.

Piece of junk!
I bought this hook remover tool recently and on the first attempt to remove a hook, CRACK! the plastic broke. Don't bother using this piece of junk, even though it is cheap.
