great tool Great tool...easy to use.....and cheap...Just the way i like it. March 10, 2008
Easy to use hook remover This has been a good tool for my tackle box. I bought this only a few months ago and it has worked well for getting hooks stuck in the mouths of bluegill and crappie when they really suck in a worm hook. My kids fish in a farm pond with bluegill and bass, so they practice catch and release. This has saved numerous bluegill so they can catch them later. November 14, 2006
Very Handy This is a very handy tool. I do a lot of night fishing under the lights for crappie and in doing so also catch a lot of catfish and stripe. This tool has saved injury to many fish and a lot of time lost in cutting line and re-hooking. July 21, 2010
Good Product I had never used one of these until I started Ice fishing this past winter. A friend gave me one and I used it a few time before I broke it, had it in my pocket and sat on it. It works great to remove hooks even when they are deep inside without hurting the fish. The only thing that I could say is that it is to bad it wasn't a little stronger but for the price you can afford to replace it several times. I recently purchased 2 so that I would have a spare. I, too, do a lot of trout fishing and I can tell you that in my experience this product is not meant for smaller hooks. They can easily be broken.
