Great product from BPS.
Lightweight & they float. Perfect for use on bass & other fish that aren't too heavy.
I use these especially if I am using a crankbait. I don't like trying to grab a bass by the mouth when it has a crankbait. The treble hooks are right there, especially when the bass starts to wiggle around. I've had that happen, so I am being careful.
I don't see how the gripper pliers can harm the fish.

Not bad for a light weight plastic tool, I cut a couple chunks of rubber hose to put over the jaws, gives em a litter lighter bite on the fish.

Good product, very handy for holding fish while removing hook. The jaws however are a bit hard and can cause damage to fish. I glued ¼ inch thick rubber onto the jaws to alleviate the risk.
