Nice for fishing
I use the copper bells all the time. I prefer to clip them to the line between the bottom eyelets. They're heavy enough to keep the line tight during a wind gust, but not too heavy to let me know when a trout bites.

Waste of money
Right out of the package one of the bells broke off, turns out it didn't open enough to fit any of my rods anyway. I was able to tie a section of line to frame of guide and clamped it on, for only one bell I couldn't hear it very well. Maybe if other bell hadn't broken off i would have been able to justify the money spent on this thing.

This was a good idea but threads strip too easily.
If it were made of a more substantial material so that the threads for the mounting nut would not strip this product would be perfect. I purchased 2 sets and have only used 2 times now and I am down to only 1 set left the other has stripped out on the mounting nut
