This pack is not waterproof. If you have a gear proofing spray, that may work, just be sure to test a small inconspicuous area before spraying the whole pack as the spray may have discoloring effects, dependent on the brand and style.

Padding on bottom and back (thin, but there). With the bottom of the bag filled with 360 boxes it will stand up on its own.

Its a thin rubber bottom. If the pack is full of trays, it will stand by itself. If the pack.is empty, it will fall over. Hope this is helpful.

A:
There is no hard padding on the bottom but, the 360 boxes make the bottom of the pack rigid enough to support it's self. I will caution you that if the pack needs to stand on it's own you must load it bottom heavy.

This backpack looks perfect for me as I usually have to walk a lot to the spots I fish, and always carry extra rods. However, I also fish lots of soft plastics, so if I can't put those in the 360 boxes then it doesn't really matter if it holds 10 or 100 of them. Thanks for any answers.

Have a total of 8 - 360 boxes, many loaded with various plastics and - so far - no problem with any sticking, etc. Can only hold 5 in the Browing 360 tackle box so depending on where I'm going, have to choose which ones to load.

The backpack has several pockets, but it doesnt come with any trays. The pockets are nice in size so there is plenty of room for line. There are even mesh pockets inside the front pocket which I believe were made for line, but I am not positive. hooe, this js helpul

A:
The pack has 2 large front pockets that I use for worms and tools. There is a pouch on the back but it is only good for maps or flat stuff because it goes next to your back when you put the pack on. There are also pockets on the right and left sides that are perfect for storing extra spools and spare line.

Very light and seems to stay put on the sholders. You can tie the access strap parts together to keep in more secure . You will not find a better pack for less.

The bag itself is not heavy at all, but depending on the tackle you have it may be. Even if you pack it full it is very sturdy and well balanced
