Your ice fishing tip-up should be lightweight, reliable and durable, and that's why we hand-crafted our Bass Pro Shops® Extreme Ice Classic Tip-Up from high-quality bamboo wood. Outfitted with a bearing supported aluminum spool and corrosion-resistant stainless steel strike indicator hook, the tip-up's strike indicator felt flag is highly-visible and freeze-resistant. We recommend you use 20 lb. - 30 lb. waxed Dacron Tip-Up Line with the Bass Pro Shops Extreme Ice Classic Tip-Up.

great value Great tip-up for the money. Quality stainless steel and aluminum parts, extremely smooth operation both the spool and trip mechanism. Trip is very lite, almost to lite for big baits. I own five and have had zero problems. November 15, 2011
poor These traps are poorly designed. The strike trigger hits the spool. Spend the extra ten dollars and get a well designed trap January 3, 2010
Not that bad. I have never written a review, but felt compelled because of the low rating. I got these tip-ups last year and I think they are great. There are some minor things that are wrong with them, but every product has minor things that you would like to change. Here are some of the things that happened to me. 1. I bought 5, out of the 5 only one had a minor problem with the reel, it was rubbing against the nut that holds it on the tip-up, all I had to do was use a razor and peel some of the rubber away from the nut and the problem was fixed, 2. The flag would sometimes pop up and then slide back down, and if you didn't see it happen it appeared to still be set, to fix this I pushed the staple in a little further and made sure the metal was pinched by the staple. Overall, I would say this is a great product for somene who is just getting into ice fishing. Sorry for the ramble. December 27, 2009
Junk The "Extreme" stands for extremely bad. Very poor quality trap. January 15, 2009
