Awkward Bag This bag didn't work for me. It's awkward in that the rod & reels are loaded on both ends of the bag and then it closes in on each other. This makes it difficult to close the bag. You have to rearrange the rods to get it closed. It also takes too much time to strap in each rod. I own and use the other less expensive rod bag that BPS sells and was moving up for more rod protection because of the extra padding. It's too large and cumbersome and will not fit in back of my pickup because of the low profile toolbox. I am going back to my other bag which works just fine. September 29, 2012
Great item This case solves the problem of the attack of the loose rods/reels in the back of my truck-somehow they always were in the way of the back seat passengers, not to mention how messed up and tangled multiple rods would get. The case is quite long, but one section easily folds to a more manageable length while accommodating several sets of tackle. August 17, 2012
Static storage only Dumb design for carrying filled with rods and reels as the handle is in the middle of bag. However great for a static garage storage bag to keeps dust and junk off your rods and reels. I bought it for garage storage. August 16, 2012
uh... haven't broken any rods yet, but this whole thing just seems awkward, and not user friendly. June 17, 2012

A:
Absolutely not. I made the mistake of leaving it out in the rain in a recent fishing trip... And it was soaking wet... inside and out.

I work for a airline and they would not be allowed due to size restrictions (length).

Also they are in no way designed to be used as checked baggage. These are just lightweight material rod carriers.

For airline travel invest in a hard rod case.

It will barely hold a seven foot rod not sure about the width but you basically can fit 4 rods across it closed, eight when its open.
