  • Superior abrasion resistance
  • Soft, smooth, and limp
  • Limited stretch and high-impact shock strength
Our Excel monofilament fishing line is manufactured under strict quality control standards. These standards provide you with a monofilament line that has superior resistance to abrasion. Excel is soft, smooth, and limp, allowing for long casts. Excel monofilament line also features limited stretch and high-impact shock strength so there's no surprise when you set the hook.

Rated 1 out of 5 by garbage I have used Bass pro line for years. I ran out of #8LB. and purchased a new spool. The new line was a lot stiffer and looped all the time. I checked a spool of the old line I had and saw what the difference was, the old line was made in the USA and the new line was made in CHINA. I have downgraded this line for use only on my jigging spoon set up where the only thing I am doing is dropping my spoon and not casting it. December 28, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good Stuff I've been using Bass Pro Shops, Excel Fishing Line for many years. Originally picked up at a local bait and tackle shop, then from Bass Pro directly. Very strong, durable, and lets me stretch it pretty good, but still stays strong. I would recommend it for use for any one of any age. The price was great too. Less expensive than the bait an tackle shop. November 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by BAss Pro Excel LIne. Before I started using this Line in 1977 I was using Stren. Excel is smaller in diameter and a better choice.I use the Fluorescent Blue,it works Great with a black light. If you try it,you will never be without it.. I will gladly give it a 5 Star, because there is no 6....... October 14, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not Recommended Bass Pro Shops should go back to the original Excel line. This so-called new and improved version is horrible. One should really test a product before sending it to market. I sent the two Jumbo Spools back for a credit, it was that bad. August 13, 2013

A:
green is best where there is a lot of vegetation in the water but it should be ok in the dirty water. if you can, use a brownish color. Good luck!
