Have been using Excel line for several years now and it always holds up to the rigors fishing the Western whitewater rivers that I fish. The 4# and 6# works great for Smallmouth Bass, the 8 thru 12# handles all the situations for Steelhead fishing that I have come across. I have tried other high end lines but always come back. Excel has it all low memory, great knot strength and holds up superb to the rocks and trees.

I have been using BPS excel line for a long time now though i am trying out all sorts of braids, co-polymers and flourocarbons to see what they are like compared to mono.As far as Monofilament goes, this EXCEL stands is Excellent! I cast from 1/128th oz to 1/4 oz lures and baits on 4# test..I get my line wrapped around boulders and stumps (and those pesky low lying trees) as i like to fish white water alot as well as sit down by a river pool with the kids and toss in some live bait. It handles the abrasives and is limp enough to use with ultralight gear.I have tried many brands and this is as good if not better then the #1 line on the XL market for the fishing that i do.
