I have had this case for over a year. It carries my Yaesu FT 60R ham radio with attachments and it has been a perfect fit. It has a side zippered compartment for loose accessories and a mesh pocket attached to it for quick retrieval of items. Highly recommend this case. It looks as good as the day I bought it.
It would be great for hunting gear like extra knives, ammo clips, compasses, scents, flash lights and more. It is small enough that it would fit into a backpack for easy access.

This case holds units up to 6” W x 7” H x 2” D and the HDS-5 Gen2 unit size is 7.3” W x 5.8” H x 4” D. The display size is 5” W but since the unit size is 7.3” W this fishfinder will not fit into the case. ThanksAnswers
