Drop Line fishing, one of the oldest fishing techniques continues to be employed because it's still very effective. The Bass Pro Shops Drop Lines are a very affordably way to get in on the Drop Line action. The Drop Lines' 3/0 nickel plated hook and 1/0 snap swivel are connected to 5'6'' of 35-lb. test polypropylene line. Three pack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great deal These droplines have no problems--considering the price. Could they have better hooks? Sure Better line--of course. But we're talking about a product that is $1.50. Best $1.50 I've ever spent. And as for how it's packaged--yes it's strung around the hook. But as you would unwrap anything--start from the outside. Don't just grab what's in the middle--yank it out and expect it not to tangle. If you look at it you can clearly and easily unwrap it with no problems. The only problem I had was only buying one package. They worked so well at out fishing spot--my brother-in-law immediately ordered several more. Now we're ready for next weekend! June 26, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by not a waste of money when i got this i opened it right off the only reason it got 4 stars is because when you take them out of the package they are wound up and the hook is inside of it and when you try to pull the hook out it gets tangled in the line and weakens it other than that very good product February 19, 2009

A:
They are pretty short. I would out them at 3' or so.

But for where I fish it's perfect. And you can always just add line to the snap at the end if you need it deeper.

A:
What my bro-in-law and I do is fish in the shallows for cats. So we'll cruise around and find a submerged tree--attach the drop line with our chosen bait on it and come back later to check it.

Be careful pulling them in--if you just muscle them in they can break free.
And don't be afraid to get in there to get them. I'm often hanging off the boat arms completely in the water wrestling these things.

Love it
