The Bass Pro Shops Deadly 5 War Path is a three-arm castable umbrella rig with three #4 willow blades that increase the "ball of bait" effect. To use, bend the three 5-1/2" wire arms straight back from the head at 45-degree angles, evenly spaced. Rig with 1/8-oz. to 1/2-oz. jigheads on each wire. Rig jigheads with 3" to 5" baits, such as the Bass Pro Shops Squirmin' Swim Shad, the Bass Pro Shops Shadee Shad, Bass Pro Shops Swim Stik-O or Bass Pro Shops Grubs. The option are endless.NOTE: Check your State's Fishing & Game regulations before using an umbrella rig. Some have restrictions on the number of hooks or baits per line.

So I purchased this primarily because of the 3 arms instead of 5 (MO law only allows 3 hooks), and the fact that it was only $10. I used 1/8oz pro jigs, and 4" pearl berkley havoc subwoofers as the bait. I was so IMPRESSED! The middle wire needed to be bent down a few degrees to allow the spinner blade to function properly. I feel that the 3 willows leafs on this rig MADE THE DIFFERENCE! I could see my rod tip twitching and thumping as I reeled the rig back in. In 2 days of fishing (6 hours total) I caught over 70 white bass with this rig! I was fishing with a partner than usually ourfishes me 2 to 1, I caught my limit in 45 mins and he had 2 fish on his go-to bait. I lent him my set up and in 45 mins his limit was in the boat and we began culling. My only complaint is that one of the arms broke...but for $10, and 70+ fish....I feel I got my money's worth out of the rig. Buy this, use this, and catch a lot of fish...this is worth more than $10, its a great rig!

I am not very satisfied with these rigs. Maybe you get what you pay for but there should be more pride of workmanship no matter the product you produce. These harnesses have the wires in the wrong place (the long wire belongs on the bottom not the side) and the twists have to done by hand and poorly done at that. After a little tweaking they may work fine but out of the package I don't think so. For the price they will have to do for now.

The blades don't spin because they hit the baits... There is nothing to keep the blades from sliding up and down the arms. Bad design
