The umbrella rig is small enough to cast easily, and you can very the depth it travels in the water by adjusting the weights of the jig heads and soft plastic lures.

Troll 3 baits at one time (legal in my state) when crappies are slow or hard to find. Good snaps to change baits/colors quickly.
