Bass Pro Shops® Curltail Stump Jumpers feature minnow-style heads. Dimpled blade creates baitfish-like response.
Rated 3.7 out of 5 by 13 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by The Ultimate Panfish Lure These little guys are absolutely fanastic on any kind of panfish. Today, I went fishing for a hour and a half and caught 14 crappie, numerous more hits, and even 2 bluegill, which I didn't even know lived in the pond! They held up great, although the hooks are a bit short and a few fish came off. These are the best panfish lures I have ever used, especially at 84 cents when on sale! April 5, 2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by Stump Jumpers These baits will catch fish, but I will agree with other reviewers that they will not hold up as well as Road Runners. There is a good variety of colors and the price is very good. September 10, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Multiple species bait I have been using these little baits for a couple of years now, and am constantly surprised by their versatility. I have caught trout, bass. pickerell, perch, and of course sunfish. Fun! May 28, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Not just for panfish I just picked some of these up when they were on sale for less than a buck. I'm glad I did. I was after some yellow perch and thought I would give these a try. Well, I only found one perch, but I took 11 largemouth in the 12-15" range in about 40 minutes. I didn't expect to find active bass as the water was only 51degrees, so I didn't bring my bass gear. They were a lot of fun on my little micro lite rod though. I'm glad the stump jumper got me some fast action on some pre-spawn bass. I'm sure I would have caught more, but I had to head to work :( May 6, 2009

They don't carry the black head on the stump jumper, but my best is the white head and the red head.

I'm pretty sure that I've never seen this in black. I'm not completely sure if that is the color you may want in a flashy spinner/spoon bait anyway. Can always replace the jig head if need be.

The bodies are glued on, but they can be taken off and replaced with another body. I have several bodies I have bought to replace when one of my bodies tear up. I have had only one of my twirl tail bodies to tear up and be replaced.

Sure can. The jig head part of the bait will usually outlast the life of the grub part anyway, so you can expect to take off the grub part at some point during its life.

You certainly can. I do this all of the time with different types of jigs and tails. Mix and match, anything to catch some good eating fish.

A:
of course. Might make more sense to do the reverse though.

Buy some jig heads you like then put your grub on those, or even "whacky" it and put the jig on a plasti-worm.
