You certainly can. I do this all of the time with different types of jigs and tails. Mix and match, anything to catch some good eating fish.

of course. Might make more sense to do the reverse though.Buy some jig heads you like then put your grub on those, or even "whacky" it and put the jig on a plasti-worm.
