Bass Pro Shops Crappie Maxx Tightline Special Crappie Rod 5 5 1 1
Worth the investment Crappie fishing is my favorite and I have been using this rod from BPS for(tightline) spider rigging for the past two years. I started with the older version and have purchased these new ones. These new ones have color( which I like) but more importantly are lighter than the older ones. This rod is tough, tough, tough! I have been hung on everything from submerged trees to big bass and big cats and this rod displayed no sign of weakness. The high vis tip is a must. I have purchased the 12, 14, and 16 foot rods. I prefer the 16' length because it is farther away from the boat but I started out with the 14' which is easier to handle. I have purchased 14 of these. It is an excellent tool if you are serious about crappie fishing. The eyelets are weak but there are plenty of them if they brake. I still rate it as a 5 star rod. April 24, 2014
