I bought 8 of these to go with my new Crappie Maxx Tightline Special Trolling Rods. For $20 each i dont think you could beat the value. Good reel for the money.

Overall, couldn't go wrong with this reel.
I use it for fishing along the creek and it is very smooth.

this is a very nice reel. simple but so efficient. l like the fact it comes in 2 different sizes. we get bigger than average size crappies, so the the larger reel comes in handy when the big ones bite. i still like to to be challenged and use UL equipment, but it's nice to heave a choice. i have the larger reel on a 5' L action rod and it casts 1/16 to 1/4 oz. baits with ease. don't forget to spray a little reel magic on your spool the night before your trip. it really relaxes the line and makes for smoother performance.

To me, if the line size is different, the reel size is different. On this type reel it is a matter of choice.A:Â

It is likely that the spools are the same except that the depth of each is different. The 4# test would have a shallower well than the 6#. I inquired to see if they sell spare spools, and they don't. Bummer, cuz I would get a spool for the other size line.Answers
