  • Pac Bay Hialoy guides
  • Cork handle
Some say a good crappie pole is worth its weight in gold, and super-versatile, well-balanced rods like these are the reason.  Premium IM6 graphite blanks. Features include Pac Bay Hialoy guides and cork handle.

Crappie fishing has come a long way. What used to be a family-based live bait fishery now supports high-profile tournaments that draw the best anglers from around the country. This exposure has brought a ton of deadly new crappie-catching techniques into play, many of which require specialized gear. That's where Crappie Maxxâ„¢ Rods really shine. They're designed by the sharpest crappie anglers in the business, to handle everything from tightlining to spider-rigging to traditional live bait systems. So no matter how you prefer to chase your slabs, in Crappie Maxx you'll find a rod that's specially made to make your day.
Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by ultra light awsome rod, using it for trout with 4 lb vanish, caught a 2 lb rainbow on it and it was so sweet, sensitive and great with light line April 22, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Poor I'm absolutely sure that this rod is great just like the others like it that I have purchased in the past, but was sent the one with the foam handle for a spincast not the cork handle for a spinning rod and didn't return since I would have to pay shipping and handling twice for it. A:
I got the 7' UL rod and it was eva grips. I was even told by the guys at basspro that it was going to be cork.

A:
the crappie max pro series has a cork handle with a cut out in the fore arm so you can put a finger on the blank to feel the lightest tap.

Who is Crappie Maxx ?

Details:
If this new rod is a signature series rod then who is signing it ? Crappie Maxx is not a fisherman that I have ever heard of on the crappie USA tour or any other tour thus far . How about a little video about this new guy in the BassPro Outdoors Library . Thanks Bass Pro.

A:
Crappie maxx use to have wally marshal's name on them

A:
It's the exact same rod as the comparable Wally Marshall, but with a different label. Crappie Maxx is not a person, it's a trade name. I don't know why they call it a signature series. It doesn't matter...the rod is great. I don't buy things because of whose name is on it, I buy it for the quality.
