Rated 5 out of 5 by KCFishHunt Great Rod!
Bought two of these and they're by far my favorite rods. Great sensitivity and perfect for crappie. I met my limit nearly every day I fished and I know this rod made the difference in not missing the smallest hit. I HIGHLY reccomend this combo - and for the price it cannot be beat!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Onionbagels Just right for the price.
For the price this spinning combo is an excellent purchase. Pretty durable for what it's meant for: BIG CRAPPIE. Great sensitivity. Reel is smooth and casts small jig/grubs far.

I bought two of these, one for me and one for a friend. The second time I used this and actually the first fish I caught on it which was a stripe about 5 inches long, as I was taking the fish off, the rod just snapped off about 6 inches from the end. No excess stress or bending, just broke. Not too pleased at all.

I purchase this combo as part of my set up as a novice crappie tournament fisherman. I set it up with light test line and If a crappie breathed wrong, he was hook. The third trip out before even hitting the water the tip snaps! I read all the reviews prior to making the purchase and many spoke about the tip breaking, and like those who will follow thought the rod broke as a result of mishandling the rod, NOT true. In my opinion the rod has a flaw, something is causing these rods the break in the same areas and it nothing to do with the user. Could be using the hook holder, the slight bend at the tip over a period of less than 24hrs could weaken it in that area. The reel is very nice and smooth. It a shame the rod is so bad because with the casting ability of the bass pro reel with 4lb test line and the feel of the rod, this is a sniper rifle of fishing rods. Bass Pro needs to do a remake of this combo.
