Ok Basket I ordered it on line and it came. As soon as I tried out the hinge, it broke. I called the store and and a new one arrived in 4 days. I made a fish trap out of the broken one. February 15, 2015
Crappie Maxx Purchased this product on-line. Have seen and used similiar products in the past. A main reason for purchasing this model was that it floated, making it possible to use while float tube fishing. First fish went in fine. Then when demonstrating this product to a friend the hinge mechanism on the top when haywire, Managed to get it fixed(?), but only time will tell if the fix was permanent. September 5, 2012
perfect for use ive used it for a long time to keep all kinds of fish in. i tie it to docks and to the shore. they keep the fish alive and its easy to empty the fish out and put in February 18, 2014

A:
I suppose after about 20 years of being in & out of the water, anything will rust eventually.

I can testify that these things are good for AT LEAST 5yrs. That is as long as I ever owned 1....HOWEVER, when I lost mine in that Indiana lake, it was in prime condition(like new).

So I'm sure that it is not uncommon to get 10 - 15 years out of these.
