use the 4 to 6 foot depth range it will give you the best bass advantage in the shad colors we troll the 10 foot depth range in the warmer waters for crappie and they work real well

I finished fishing a week in Oklahoma with my son. I used the Pearl ShadWMC52M-01 2" 5/16 oz. mostly trolling and caught the follwing species of fish:
crappie, white bass, small and large mouth bass, drum and channel catfish - mostly the crappie, white bass and large and small mouth bass.

It depneds on where you live. I catch mostly bass, but if you are fishing with a place with trophy sunfish or trout, dont be suprized if you hook one. Pike eat these up too!A:

I have actually heard that on this crank largemouth bass are caught most often....actually i heard crappie are rarely caught on this...i own one in the bubblegum color...just havent had luck but that would be because i havent given it much time and not in the best situations...but yeah if you want LM ok but there are better crappie luresA:

they work good on bass just a little big for bluegill any shad color works well, i use a 5:2:1 ratio reel and i just crank them at a medium speed works good and accordding to the lure depth to cause they come in 4 foot up to 10 foot depth range luresA:
I jsut finished fishing for a week in Oklahoma and used the Pearl ShadWMC52M-01 2" 5/16 oz. I used in mostly whille trolling and caught large and small mouth bass, crappie and white bass. The white bass seemed to hit at a faster trol.l also caught bass at a faster troll but seemed to have more success at a slower troll. The lure ran true at various speeds. You might want to try retrieving the lure at various speeds to see what works best.

Yes sir! Bass eat them up, and so do big gills. The way to catch bluegills is the only time I get bit is when the are beding. Get the four to six foot diver and crank it right through their nests! They will smash this lure! Make sure you put them back though, or their nests will be ungaurded. For bucketmouth, get the shallow diver and crank it parallel to the bank with frequent pauses followed by slow reeling.A:
They will catch largemouth bass. Bluegill will probably hit at them. From a video I have the pro's in it all say 1.2 mph is the key. I do not have GPS so I troll them fast enough for the end of the pole to jiggle.A:
I have been trolling it at 1.7 mph, I tie a 1/4oz jig head about 2 feet above the lure with a twister tail & sometimes catch fish on both!

I have a boat, but am fairlynew to crankbaits. I fish a large reservour in south eastern PA. I was hoping someone could give me some tips for color, or depth. If I troll with it, I would run parallel to banks,e tc.Answers

i use the lite shad colors its according to how deep the banks are for the depth they come in 4 to 10 foot depths it depends on what you buy to use they work very wellA:
I just finished fishing a week in Oklahoma . I trolled most of the time using the Pearl Shad WMC52M-01 2" 5/16 oz. This lure runs about 6 feet deep. There is one that runs about 10 feet deep. This lure is white with a red eye, which I have found works best where I fish with my son in Oklahoma. With this lure I caught crappie, white bass, large and amall mouth bass and even a few drum and channel catfish. I trolled both parallel to the banks, perpendicular and diagonal (deep to shallow and shallow to deeper water) and had success all the various ways. i have also used in the past with success the Bandit Crankbait Series 200 Pearl Red Eye and Series 300 for deeper water. However, this year I used the Crappie Maxx described above in water about 6 feet deep and also in water about 15-20 feet deep and had good success. Good Luck!

I too live in south eastern pa. I bet you fish Marsh Creek. Anyway, I like to troll paralell to the bank where there is a lot of rocks and rip rap 4-8 feet down. Make sure the cranker is making contact with the rocks. Use a natural bass or sunfish color. White and chartruese work well to. The shallow diving one works well casting to LIGHT cover.A:
The Bubble Gum color is my favorite, but I also like the white/chrtreuse. I have other colors but have not tried them. The larger crankbaits run about 8 to 10 ft. deep. I have Carolina rigged them to make them go deeper. The smaller ones with a shorter bill run 4 to 6 ft. deep.A:
i would suggest anything with chart. if trolling the short lip diving 4-10 feet works great.

If your going to run along with the banks I would use a shallow to med. depth. In the summer time most fish are around the oxygen table in the deep water just a few on the bottom like where we troll in the hottest part of the summer in about 30 feet of water the are around 16-22 feet of water. I would say the Pink Bubble Gum,MidnightFire,or the Watermellon Seed is a good color.Answers

Yes this can help you a ton. I have a boat and I love trolling these but I also have some huge ponds that our family loves to fish and I have caught tons of fish from the bank with these. When I fished the dock I would stand on the bank and run the lure parelell to the dock I also caught a ton of fish by standing on the bank and casting parelell to the bank. Even when on a boat I cast and retrieve parelell to the bank or troll parelell to the bank. If you run it parelell to the pier the fish under the pier will swim out and get it.A:
