When crappie fever hits, the Bass Pro Shops® Crappie Beavers are the cure. The Crappie Beavers offer a unique, tube-like body with high-action pincher arms that will do the trick as one unit, or can separated for more crappie catchin' action. Expect the body to circle and the pincher arms to flail on the fall.

add this to your tackle box I picked out the Crappie Beaver in Red with Florescent tail last fall. I used it for the 1st time this spring because nothing was working. I caught 4 smallmouths, a pike, 6 rockbass and a 3.5 pound Walleye, all in 2 hours. . Over the next 2 weeks[same spot] I caught more bass and Walleye up to 5 pounds. I don't know what it is suposed to be, but it works! May 31, 2012
Crappie Killer I've used these the last two years for crappie and they never disappoint. When I'm fishing with jigs this is the first thing I tie on. A must have for your tackle box. April 23, 2012
The hidden lure! I tried this lure being very skeptical about lures because I have tried countless worms. These had to be the best lures I've tried. I caught several crappie, lg. bluegill, a few small mouth, and a catfish. June 20, 2007
Black specks desert These baits are a little larger than alot of crappie softbaits . Is that bad . Not even. I fish them throughout the year . I will of course employ different techniques but mostly a 1/16 oz. jig with a single strand brush gaurd is the go to horizontal pres. and 1/16 oz. plain jig for verticle offerings . If you after the biggest ones out there then these are a super bait to start out with . If your on fish ( spotted on sonor ) and they won't bite then go to something smaller but when the fish are in a good mood this bait will call those big grandmas up like a dinnerbell. Good luck on filling that livewell. February 1, 2011

I think it can. In my review of this bait I stated that I have the best luck with the beaver in heavily pressured fishing areas because its different. This bait may very well be different than what most of the other anglers on the pier are using and may give the fish something new to bite. Pick 2 colors, 1 color you like and 1 color you think the fish would like and try them both. Good Luck!
