We've taken a raw Powerwall IM6 graphite blank and juiced it up with brawny fiberglass, then infused the blank with stabilizing basalt mineral fibers. The result? A fusion of agility, power, and flexibility that is unmatched anywhere else in the fishing industry. Ideal for a variety of uses—from crankbaits to spinnerbaits and everything in between—the fiberglass-feeling tip allows the lure to move naturally; but you can still feel the hit. Spun basalt fibers enhance the structure of the blank, allowing us to build it with a thinner, lighter wall that's still strong and flexible. Features a PowerHump cork handle, XPS Grip-Tite graphite seat, Pac Bay Hialoy guides, and Pro-Guard™ epoxy finish.

I had been looking for a good crankbait rod for a while when my wife got me this one for Father's Day. It totally delivered! Great sensitivity and still has a soft enough tip for good hook-ups. Casts like a champ!

Excellent rod at any price. You don't have to spend $250 to have a good rod.Have been using BPS rods and reels for years from Florida to Canada. My friends scoff but my equipment from BPS is as good and sometimes better than their expensive stuff. A rod blanks quality isn't determined by how expensive the name is.

I recently purchased this rod in the 7' Medium action model while it was on sale. I paired the rod with a $50 reel spooled with 20lb. braid with a 6-8 inch17lb. fluorocarbon leader. I've been throwing crank baits weighing from 3/16 to 3/4 ounce with no problems. The rod picks up the vibration from the bait and passes it to your hands really well. Its easy to feel the bait along the bottom and thru structure with this rod. I've landed fish up to 6 lbs. and the rod has enough backbone to handle the fight and is forgiving enough to not let the fish throw the bait on a hard jump. I'm not a big fan of the hump in the handle but that's just my preference. For the money its a great crank bait rod and matches well against some of the more expensive rods.
