Rated 5 out of 5 by JPritch Great Alternative to Frabill I've had this net for 4 years now and finally getting around to reviewing it. It's been solid for me. I didn't even realize this thing was only rated to 50# until today, but I've netted over a dozen fish in the 50 to 60# range with it, including the fish in the pic. It has just a few tears in it from my abuse, but nothing big. I can't bring myself to spend the money on a Frabill, but I might try getting their replacement netting with a bigger hang and putting it on this net to extend its life. You can't go wrong with this net for the price. February 18, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by mfindley Terrible Basket Owned this net for three years now. Primarily use it for cat fishing and use it muskie fishing for a few trips in spring and fall. Where the handle connects to the hoop is a little weak and after netting many large fish it had to be reinforced with a couple screws, as the whole structure was loose. Basket is poor quality. It is constantly getting holes in it and it forever needing repairs. Last week we had a muskie about 47 inches bite right thru the basket and escape. Spend the extra money, get a Frabil. Rated 5 out of 5 by SultanOfSlime Will Land Monster Cats with Ease!!! I use this net on the pro tour as well as for my guide service. It will help you land a big one with no problems. The rubberized netting doesnt dry out and get crunchy from slime. It also keeps it from getting the hook caught up in it. August 12, 2011
