  • Strong wire stands up to big cats
  • Barbed shank holds bait in place
  • Hook sets itself
Bass Pro Shops CatMaxx Circle Hooks are made of strong wire that stands up to big cats. The barbed shank holds the bait firmly in place. The CatMaxx Circle Hook sets itself—there is no need to guess when to set the hook!
Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Hooks These are outstanding hooks and plus you get a ton of hooks for the money. I hope in time they will make a bigger hook than a 9./0 for river fishing. You can't snell these hooks and I would use a polomer knot. May 19, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by good hook -bad hook eye i liked the hook but you cant snell them because the hook eye is not finished properley too many sharp edges, where the eye meets the shank, wont even use the ones i got . April 17, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Catmaxx hook This is a very good circle hook. It's very similar to the demon circles hooks which are the very very best if you off set them some. April 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by A HEADLOCK on a Catfish These hooks are GREAT!!! I agree take a pair of pliers to off-set the hook and make sure you don't touch the point of the hook. Even when your not paying attention to your fishing rod... need not to worry because this hook does the fishing for you. Take about 12 inches of sewing thread and wrap around that chicken liver. Also good for live bait... and save yourself some MONEY!!! You can't set this hook... you have to wait for the tip of your rod to pull and just start to wind in because you lifted up on that rod to set the hook... you will miss a lot of fish. Start winding first, then lifted up on your rod and you will put a catfish in a HEADLOCK!!! December 29, 2012

A:
These would not be optimal for small mouth....Don't use live bait or set the hook sooner = less guthooks.
