Excellent Product for the Price Picked these catmaxx hooks up before my last fishing trip, and for the price am totally satisfied with them. Hooked up on several very large fish and they held up just fine. November 30, 2014
awesome hooks i bought these hooks last year and they are great.I was not sure they would handle a fish of good size but a 17lb channel and 26 lb blue proved me wrong.Best of all is the price March 3, 2014
What A Great Hook I fish for big cats in the St Louis and St Charles Mo area. I purchased the 9/0 hooks was very surprised how well they work. These hooks are very sharp and strong. On Sept 6th night fishing on the Mississippi River I caught a 80lb Blue. That was my P/B. September 24, 2013
Great hook and awesome value The 9/0 are the perfect all around catfish hook. They are super sharp and are a great value for the money! September 1, 2013

They are inline however, many people give them a light offset with plyers.

A:
Circle hooks are mostly unknown by those that don't salt water fish, they almost always hook into the side of the mouth, are self hooking, only a tug is need to set hook, saves a lot of fish that would swallow the hook.

I don't see why not, although I've never fished for smallmouth with these, catfish and ocean fish mostly, almost always hooks in side of the mouth.

A:
These would not be optimal for small mouth....Don't use live bait or set the hook sooner = less guthooks.
