Severe Longitudinal Cracks The largest sections of both poles (I ordered two) were badly cracked with a split running almost the entire length of the sections. I have so far salvaged one rod out of two by wrapping the split section with electrical tape. I have had the same versions of these poles many years and they are still in good condition. Don't know why these were defective. March 22, 2013
great buy I was very surprised at the durability of this pole, it handeled fish easily, has the sensitivity to feel a bite and didnt seem to be in danger of breaking. The first afternoon I used it I caught 15 fish a mix of sunnies, shiners and perch. May 7, 2011

A:
Nylon, or Dacron are my preferred lines. If your not worried about spooking fish, use the Dacron. You might also think about a Tenkara braided line with a leader on the end of for fly fishing.

A:
I wouldn't advise it, especially if you were to hook a fish of any large size. It be hard to pier fish with,(public pier) because of the line required to reach the water and depth.

A:
No. You would need another style of jigging rod if you are looking to add a baitcaster.
