This handsome, well-constructed leather checkbook is a welcome upgrade from the disposable vinyl ones you get at the bank. The soft, buttery leather feels good in your hands. I don't personally need the credit card or ID slots, but you can use a paper clip thru the plastic ID cover to keep your check register open to the page you want at all times. (I use my checkbook constantly at work and I don't want to have to flip to the current page every time I open it.) This way you don't have to use a paper clip on a leather slot, so the leather stays nice and flat. The only downside is that it doesn't fit neatly in my stack of vinyl checkbooks, since it's a little bigger and puffier, but that's no big deal. I appreciated the exotic leather choices, e.g. moose and elk in addition to bison. Like the other Bass Pro products I've bought, it's good-looking and well made. I have a lot of respect for this company.

The buttery softness, bright color & texture make the bison wallet a MUST!
It can accessorize extremely well as a BURST of color or a compliment to brown, chocolate, or butterscoth handbags & jackets.
It is even stronger & more durable than it is beautiful.

Quality is excellent. However, when filled with checks, cards, pictures, etc., the checkbook doesn't close all the way. Perhaps it when it gets broke in, or when the leather stretches, it will close. I have received two compliments on it already though. I would buy it again.
