The Bass Pro Shops® Bionic Blade™ XPS® Rod is now a slimmed-down, toned-up beauty that brings you all the lightweight balance, sensitivity and handle-ability you crave—without sacrificing any of its original strength and durability. I love the bionic blade but this combo here offers you a heavy rod but the reel only holds 120 yrds. of 12 lb test, i want to use it for strippers and i need to use at least 17 lb test, would it work for me ? if it would how much 17lb would it hold

i have a simple solution go to the store and get some 20lbtest braided line, and tie a mono/floro leader at the end, i suggest using a snap swivle at the end.
