These ergonomically designed reel seats have been "opened up" to allow direct contact with your fingers. The IM8 blank features our new ArmorCore Technology—a stronger-than-steel aramid fiber core—to make this one of the most powerful, lightweight rods you'll ever fish with.
Pacific Bay Hialoy guide sets are perfectly spaced for virtually friction-free line flow and maximum casting performance and sensitivity. This rod's premium cork handle with classic full cork butt offers extreme comfort, fatigue-resistance and leverage. Once you go Bionic, you'll never go back.

IM8 blank gives you extra sensitivity to detect slower bites. Durable rod that's pulled out some big fish. Would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to get into baitcasting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mouldie3 Solid Rod for the price!
I own 3 of these baitcasting rods (7' MH, 6'6 MH, 6'6 M). I've landed a +10lb bass on the 6'6 medium with no issues, and a 9lb bass on the 7'MH. For the price you can't beat these rods, and they've already proved themselves on 2 trophy size bass.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Olebiker Very pleasant surprise
This is the second Bionic Blade rod that I have purchased and I must say that I am very pleased with both purchases. I have some rods that cost twice what these cost but can't really say that I catch more fish using them. The thing that I have found so satisfying about these rods is that they have a lot of backbone with just the right fast tip action that suits my style of fishing.

by AJHauser Decent Rod
This is a decent rod - but I have the same issue with all of my BP BIonic Blade rods - and that is that the enamel (or whatever the clear hard glue is that is used to cover the guide bindings) tends to crack under stress. Still, these are good rods for the money - but keep your eyes peeled and watch for cracks near the guides where they meet the blank that need to be touched up.
