Pacific Bay Hialoy guide sets are perfectly spaced for virtually friction-free line flow and maximum casting performance and sensitivity. This rod's premium cork handle with classic full cork butt offers extreme comfort, fatigue-resistance and leverage. Once you go Bionic, you'll never go back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by bionic blade Have bought my third bionic blade. Have some rods that cost three times as much, but these rods can't be beat for the money. horsed in one of the biggest bass I have caught in Oklahoma. June 30, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by GREAT ROD i have 2 of these, a medium action 6' with a Garcia 5500C3 for spinner baits and crank baits, and a Medium Heavy 6' with a Garcia 4600C3 for plastics and jigs... i have other rod combos with shimano and other Garcia reels,,,but these are my go to rods. you can feel the bite and they have plenty of backbone. hauled in an 8 pound largemouth with the 4600 med heavy combo at Wapapella Lake in Missouri several years ago and it still is catching fish... Rated 5 out of 5 by Pleasantly surprised I bought one of these rods on the way to Guntersville because I wanted something cheap to sling an A-rig with. I have used this rod for 9 months and I am extremely happy with it. I have caught a couple of hundred fish with it throwing an A-rig, mostly 3-7lb stripers and hybrids. I could not believe that I would be this satisfied with a lower priced rod. I would buy another one in a heartbeat, and I usually only fish Dobyns and Kistler rods. February 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Sensitive yet Durable. IM8 blank gives you extra sensitivity to detect slower bites. Durable rod that's pulled out some big fish. Would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to get into baitcasting. December 5, 2013

Usually it means the rod slides "into itself" for portability. Instead of a 2 piece design.

On the telescopic rods, the rod itself recesses into the handle of the rod making the rod that
much shorter.
