I purchased 2 of these rods in January to replace old worn out spinning rods. Both of the Bionic Blades have snapped tips now. I did enjoy them for a few fishing trips noticing they were light and had good balance and sensitivity for a lower priced rod. The first rod tip snapped while reeling in a 17 inch puppy Redfish, while the second rod tip snapped on the drive home on last trip.
Unbelievable! Will not waste my fishing dollars on BPS rods ever again.

This rod is light-weight and very well balanced. It feels great and does awesome at handling bass. Even looks fantastic! (As my wife says "it's pretty") I bought a 7ft for bass fishing with wacky rig and shaky head presentations. Here's the catch... It casts terrible! You get no distance at all and it makes a terrible noise. This is because the guides are actually too small for a spinning reel. In case anyone doubts this review here's my setup: the rod + Penn Spinnfisher + Seaguar InvisX10lb fluorocarbon line. It's definitely not the line or the reel, as both worked perfectly on a different rod. The rod blank is great so buy the version with normal guides. I will be trading mine in at Basspro when they offer the opportunity again.

Love this rod. Very lite and sensitive. I have used it to catch smallmouth bass. Works like at champ. Well worth the money.

I bought a 7ft medium action for fishing a shaky heady.First day I took it out I caught a 6lb largemouth on a strike king river bug with ease. I own Shimano, St Croix, Daiwa, Bass Pro and Wright & McGill rods but for the money this by far is the best I have ever used! It has a slick look, amazing backbone, and great sensitivity/design. Only complaint I have, is the very last eye on most all of the rods in store Ive seen are slightly twisted, but when your using the rod you can't tell a deference.
