Bass Pro Shops Bionic Blade XPS Spinning Rod
This is a decent rod - but I have the same issue with all of my BP BIonic Blade rods - and that is that the enamel (or whatever the clear hard glue is that is used to cover the guide bindings) tends to crack under stress. Still, these are good rods for the money - but keep your eyes peeled and watch for cracks near the guides where they meet the blank that need to be touched up.

Power Hump Needs Fixing
I have 3 Bionic Blade spinning rods, 1 with the old full cork handle and 2 with the dense foam handles. I use these often and they are great rods. I bought a new version and don't like the new Power Hump design. It doesn't fit right in my hand, it's awkward and I think Bass Pro should change it. The Bionic Blade has been a very good rod for the price and the new casting rods are great, but, please BPS, change the handle on the spinning rods.

Avoid this one
I have almost all BPS rods and am, for the most part, a fan of them all. This would be the exception. I bought the 6'6" med spinning rod. The PowerHump was not comfortable for me at all. Maybe someone would disagree with me there. But I also had two eyelets pop out on a brand new rod after only a few outings. I feel this rod is way too stiff which is a problem for tossing lighter lures. For the price point, there are definitely better rods. I'm returning it at the spring sale and upgrading it when the higher end rods are at a discount.

i have the 6ft Med action. this is probably on of the best rods you will ever buy for the money. It's super lightweight and the construction and craftsmanship on these rods is beautiful. the IM8 graphite is super sensitive and casting with it is very predictable even on the first cast. I love how progressive the rod flex is too. I've had other Med action rods where only the top 2 feet bend, and others where its a noodle.
as for the hump in the handle now. well, i dont know if its the most comfortable grip ever, but you do get used to it. my only issue i had with this is the hook keeper. instead of a little wire loop it now has a bend in it on the right side of the rod. when i reel in slack line from a cast too quickly, sometimes it gets caught on the keeper and i have to fix it.
oh well. i still give it 5 stars because thats how much i love this rod
