My two cousins and my uncle use these up in Canada when we go fishing every year. We catch bass, pike, crappie, walleye, gar, etc. I use one of theirs when they weren't out and fell in love with it. I finally was able to buy one, and I absolutely love it. I've used $200+ Shimano's, and this by far beats them, especially for the price. The new hump in the grip is really nice too.

In this price range, it is a great rod - better that the Extreme in my opinion. It is light and sensitive. You can get a cork handle or foam split grip handle. It is a very versatile rod - the MH is more like a M+ which is very convenient.

I don't own this new model, but based on the older one it will be great. I have had a bionic blade rod for a good five years now, and I still love it as much as the day i got it. It has great sensitivity and it just feels solid in you hands. Within this price range, no other rod is better.

I have the 7' Med Hvy. What is a good reel to use for this rod, in the moderate price range #$80-150#?

The Pflueger President is my favorite. It's inexpensive, very smooth action, and in my experience of good quality and works on anything from rockies to muskie. I've only used the cheaper Abu Garcia's, but I really like them too.A:
We offer this rod with the 1865786Team Daiwa® Legalis™ Spinning Reels
as a combo, so this reel or one similar would be just fine.
